Synopsis

The guide presents rational approaches to assessing indications and contraindications to HRT. Algorithms for examining patients before prescribing and during hormonal replacement therapy are described, depending on the clinical situation. Particular attention is drawn to the need for an individual approach to the choice of the mode and duration of HRT, the mode of administration of medications that ensure the use of minimal effective doses of hormonal preparations and the safety of HRT, taking into account contraindications and risk factors for the development of various pathologies, especially of the cardiovascular system and osteoporosis. Situational tasks will help doctors to master the algorithms of examination and individual selection of methods of hormonal replacement therapy in peri- and postmenopause.
