Diseases of the lacrimal apparatus: Study guide for practitioners

Authors

Vladimir V. Brzhesky, Yuri S. Astakhov, Natalia Yu. Kuznetsova

Synopsis

The first edition of this guide (2007) intended for physicians studying the fundamentals of ophthalmology and already practicing ophthalmologists, was timed to coincide with a conference dedicated to the issues of modern diagnostics and treatment of pathology of lachrymals. In it, the authors attempted to generalize and present current information about the lachrymal apparatus and lacrymal passages of the eye. At that, a number of well-known surgical procedures are not described in detail, since the information on them can be found in numerous guides on ophthalmic surgery. The publication aroused the interest of ophthalmologists and rhinologists, due to which the authors decided to re-issue this guide (enlarged edition). All comments and suggestions on this guide from readers will be accepted by the authors with gratitude.
